This Privacy Policy explains how Voice Writer ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. The App is developed by WELLPEACH ("Developer", "we"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
Voice recognition is processed entirely on your device using the operating system's built-in speech recognition engine. No audio is sent to our servers.
The App uses third-party SDKs that may collect limited, non-personally-identifiable data for analytics and advertising purposes. You do not need to create an account to use the App.

On iOS, the App requests Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before accessing your advertising identifier. If you decline, personalized ads are disabled and the IDFA is not accessed. You can change this choice at any time in Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
Premium subscribers (paid plans) see no ads; AdMob is not loaded for premium users.
The App requires microphone access solely for voice-to-text input. When you tap the microphone button, your speech is processed by the on-device speech recognition engine (Apple Speech framework on iOS, Android SpeechRecognizer on Android). No audio data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party server. Microphone access is used only while you actively hold the record button.
All note content, folder data, and settings are stored exclusively on your device using SQLite encrypted with SQLCipher (AES-256). The encryption key is generated randomly on first launch and stored in the device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) — never transmitted anywhere.
Biometric lock (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint) and PIN lock are handled entirely by the operating system's authentication APIs. We do not store or access your biometric data.
Premium subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment information. Purchase verification is performed locally on your device against receipts from the respective platform. Refer to each platform's privacy policy for how they handle payment data:
The App provides an optional backup feature that exports your data as a local file to your device storage or a location you choose (e.g., Files app, local folder). We do not upload your backup to any server. Backup files contain your note data in an encrypted format. Keep backup files secure, as they contain your private notes.
Voice Writer is rated 4+ (iOS) / Everyone (Android). The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone. Since we do not collect personal data, no special parental consent process is required. If you believe your child has somehow submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Because all note content stays on your device, you can delete your data at any time by deleting individual notes, folders, or the App itself. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data from your device. We retain no note content on our servers.
Anonymous analytics and crash data retained by Firebase follow Google's data retention policies (typically 14 months for Analytics). You can request deletion of any analytics data linked to your device by contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
